The RAF Polo Association (RAFPA) is dedicated to encouraging and facilitating the playing of polo within the RAF. Our mission is to introduce this exhilarating sport to potential new players while also enhancing the skills and knowledge of those already involved.
The sport, with a history spanning over 2,500 years, offers numerous benefits beyond its inherent excitement. It is known to improve hand-eye coordination, upper body strength, and postural stability. As a team sport, polo fosters collaboration not only between player and horse but also among teammates, creating a unique and dynamic playing experience.
For those interested in taking part, the RAFC Cranwell Polo Club offers several three-day foundation courses throughout the year. The courses are designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to the game, allowing newcomers to start playing in a supportive environment, whilst gaining hands-on experience.
Whether you are exploring polo for the first time or building on existing skills, this is a fantastic opportunity to take on a new challenge, develop your polo abilities, and enjoy the camaraderie that comes with being part of the club.
For more information on how to participate, please contact us or visit the RAFC Cranwell Polo Club’s website. Embrace the opportunity to engage in this storied sport and become part of a vibrant polo community within the RAF.
