The RAF Nordic Association offers the unique opportunity to sample one of the most physically challenging and enjoyable of the winter sports. Nordic Skiing in the RAF encompasses the separate international winter sport disciplines of biathlon (skiing and shooting), and cross country skiing.
In the winter, complete novices can find themselves fully able to represent the RAF at a variety of respected competitions all over Europe. During the summer, we use roller skis that simulate the Nordic skiing techniques, and we represent the RAF in competitions across the UK.
