The RAF American Football Association is a newly recognised sport within the RAF, offering opportunities for all abilities – from grassroots participation to Inter-Service competition.
American Football develops fitness, coordination, focus, teamwork, and mental resilience, while providing a strong sense of camaraderie and stress relief through team sport.
The association is proud to now be expanding into Flag Football, bringing all the pace, skill, and teamwork of the game in a non-contact format. With it also set to feature as an Olympic sport, there’s never been a better time to get involved in a more accessible way to play and be part of the action. Open to both male and female players, the RAF’s first mixed Flag team competes in events including the NATO Bowl throughout the year.
Whether you’re an experienced player or completely new to the game, the RAF American Football Association offers the chance to learn, develop, and compete in one of the most exciting sports.
