RAF Model Aircraft

RAF Model Aircraft Association

The RAF Model Aircraft Association has been active since 1949 encouraging participants in Model Flying events at local, Inter-Service, national and international level.

Under the governance of  the Directorate of RAF Sport, the RAFMAA supports Service Personnel as they compete in their chosen Model Flying discipline. This includes compliance with British Model Flying Association and CAA guidance to ensure that competition is conducted as safely as possible.

The RAFMAA has members active in almost every form of competitive flying from more traditional disciplines such as Freeflight & Control Line to cutting edge aspects like FPV Drone & Wing Racing. We hold our own Service level events for members to attend and support our affiliated clubs at unit level.

Membership is open to all members, past and present of any Armed Forces, UK Reservists and MOD civilians.  By invitation, membership is open to civilians willing to further the objectives of the RAFMAA.
